Hello Everyone,
This post is simply to inform you all that both my Legacy, and 100 Baby Challenge blogs will be put on hold for a while. I recently upgraded my Mac OS X to 10.7 or "Lion"… As far as the OS goes, I love it and have no complaints, until I open my sims game. It loads perfectly fine, CC loads as well, and then as soon as the game opens, it freezes. I have read on the forums that some people are having problems, while others are having no issues at all.
I have read as well, that some Sims 3 officials have claimed that they will NOT be making an update for the mac users upgrading to the new OS. If that is the case, I will either have to uninstall the sims permanently until EA decides to cater to those Mac users who purchased their games, or revert back to 10.6 or "Snow Leopard", neither of which I would like to do.
Again, I am terribly sorry for the inconvenience, and I am incredibly frustrated, and slightly infuriated at EA. They have had access to 10.7 since February, and have had 5 months to begin work on an update for their LOYAL Mac fans.
Hopefully, EA makes an update soon, or I manage to figure something else out. I would LOVE to continue my blogs!
Grrr, arg! Stupid EA! I miss when Maxis was running The Sims...we didn't have have the problems we do now! Well, I hope there's a resolution for you soon! Don't give up!

ReplyDeleteI recently found this blog, and I love all the interesting things you do! Where do you get all your hair styles and that play-dough table? How did you get to choose your maternity clothes? And how did you get Catherine's nails painted?! Too bad you can't continue atm, but I'm only around baby 54, so hopefully you'll be up and running again by the time I get to baby 80! Good luck!

I get the hair from http://paysites.mustbedestroyed.org/ … I am fairly sure that the nail polish was from either modthesims or thesimsresource… they come up as an "accessory" and you can change the color and what not. The maternity clothes are from different sites… i just googled sims 3 maternity clothes and some links came up. the play dough table is from modthesims, along with the white baby bottle :) Good luck with your blog, I would love to check it out if you want to leave a link for me!

ReplyDeleteyeah I completely understand haha! I had such a rough time figuring it all out the first time. Now I love it, but I am very careful not to download any bad CC… just read the comments before downloading and see what people think of it. Hopefully EA will make a fix for the problem, but as of now, they are not interested in fixing the problem for mac users who have two specific graphics cards… may never play sims again at this rate :/

ReplyDeleteAw, I'm so sorry! :( Macs are really good computers, though! Like many other people, I have been brainwashed to think that PC's and windows were the best but really, Macs are even better! I hope your problem will be fixed soon D:
ReplyDeleteI know - after having both PC's and Mac's… I would NEVER go back to a PC. But people are entitled their own opinions. I personally think that Macs are better. I am simply hoping that EA gets their act together so that I will be able to play again. When I get home from vacation in 2 weeks, I am going to revert to the previous operating system so that I will be able to play again. I am hoping that EA will release a fix eventually, so that I can use both the sims and the new Operating System together. Which would be nice since I just spent 30 bucks on the Operating System, and who knows how much on all the sims games :/...

ReplyDeleteThe sims is ridiculously expensive, especially when they expect us to buy all the EP and SP's… but I hope they do. Apparently they are working on a patch, but there is no Estimation on when it will be ready :/ the guy said hopefully less than 2 months… so thats a good sign.
